2024年秋、ナポリから北へ車で５０ｋｍの場所にあるポンテラトーネという街に来ました。ポンテラトーネは、イタリア共和国カンパニア州カゼルタ県にある、人口約1,700人の基礎自治体です。 もちろん観光地としても栄えていますが、葡萄の木が多く、ワインの名産地としても有名です。多数あるワイナリーから今回はご縁があり、Vigne Chigi(ヴィーニェ キジ)さんを訪問させていただきました。In the fall of 2024, I came to the city of Pontelatone, located 50 km north of Naples by car. Pontelatone is a basic municipality in the province of Caserta, Campania, Italy, with a population of about 1,700. It is, of course, a thriving tourist destination, but it is also famous for its vines and wine. Among the many wineries in the area, we had the opportunity to visit Vigne Chigi.
カサヴェッキア（Casavecchia）とは？What is Casavecchia?
カンパーニャ州地域特有の赤ワイン用ブドウ品種で、深い色合いと豊かな風味が特徴です。長期熟成に適しており、濃縮された果汁と高い糖度を持っています。
こちらで作られているカサヴェッキアのワインは、力強いルビーレッド色で、香りには、よく熟した赤い果実、特にブラックベリー、黒桑の実、スミレの非常に独創的な含みを感じます。味わいには素晴らしい風味と控えめなフレッシュさがあり、バニラの余韻を感じさせます。機械収穫を行わず手摘みで丁寧に作業されているので、上品で心地よい余韻があります。It is a red wine grape variety unique to the Campania region, characterized by its deep color and rich flavor. It is suitable for long-term aging and has concentrated juice and high sugar content.The Casavecchia wines made here are an intense ruby red color, with very inventive notes of well-ripened red fruits on the nose, especially blackberries, black mulberries and violets. On the palate, there is great flavor and discreet freshness, with a lingering vanilla finish.The wine is carefully handpicked without mechanical harvesting, which gives it an elegant and pleasant aftertaste.
こちらの試飲会では、土着品種の白ワインから始まり、ロゼ、赤ワインと飲むことができます。ここでオーナーのこだわりは地元の料理とのペアリングです。ワインだけでなく地元のチーズやハム、グリルされた野菜など、ここでしか味わえないペアリングがあります。At this tasting, you can drink white wines starting with indigenous varietals, followed by rosé and red wines. The owner’s focus here is on pairing with local cuisine. Not only wine, but local cheeses, ham, and grilled vegetables are some of the unique pairings you will find here.
オーナーのワインに対する愛情とこだわりがたくさん詰まった素晴らしいワイン旅になりました。※ワインは大量生産していない為、数に限りがあります。It was a wonderful wine trip with lots of love and attention to wine from the owners. *Wine is not produced in large quantities, so the number of wines is limited.
