日本で在留資格を取るには？How to obtain a residence status?

在留資格を取得するには代理人または本人が必要書類を揃えて、日本の地方出入国在留管理局へ在留資格認定証明書の申請をおこないます。交付までの期間は在留資格によって異なり、1〜3ヶ月程度です。

In order to obtain a status of residence, an agent or person must prepare the necessary documents and apply for a Certificate of Eligibility to the Regional Immigration Bureau of Japan. The period until issuance varies depending on the status of residence and is about 1 to 3 months.
